May 2019 – everyone in school undertook to walk or run a mile – the weather was perfect and the children all had a fantastic time.

Y1/2 making fruit salad as part of their “food glorious food” topic. The fruit salad looked – and tasted – fantastic (July 2019)
The children in Y1 took part in four Balance Ability sessions. Although it was very cold, it was dry and the children had an amazing time practicing their balancing skills on the mini-bikes.
A number of our children took part in a short story writing competition. They could choose between a prehistoric land, underwater, jungle or fairy tale world. Roman, Jimmy, George and Saahib have had their stories published in a book! We are very proud of their achievement. Keep an eye out for our next KS1 writing competition in the next few weeks.
Mr Redpath visited from The Hart School to run a sports hall athletics session for the Y1/2 children. The children had a great time and what we have are some brilliant action shots – with the children concentrating hard and definitely on the move! From today’s activities Mr Redpath selected children to take part in a primary school sports hall athletics tournament in December. Well done to those selected to represent our school and good luck – do your best and enjoy the experience.
The children had a fantastic time at the Think Tank discovering lots of amazing facts linked to their classroom topics.
As part of the class topic work the children visited a local building site to see how new houses are built. There was great excitement when the children were able to sit inside a mini digger!
The Y1/2 children went on a walk around the village, as part of their topic work. They spent time look at many different aspects of where they live.
