Y3 Home Learning w/c 13th July 2020

Hi all

This is our last week of home learning before we ‘break-up’ for the summer. We hope that you and your family all have a great summer break and we look forward to seeing you back full-time in September.

Write a new episode for your favourite TV programme – this may be a children’s TV programme that you enjoy, a news report based on Newsround or even ( we are being very kind on your last week of home learning) a Match of the Day Sports report with any teams playing and any outcome. Try and remember to use all of the features that you have learnt this year. We will be particularly looking for correctly punctuated speech.

We hope that you have a great week and hope to see some of you around.

Y4 Home Learning w/c 13th July

Hi all,

Firstly, I wanted to begin with a huge thank you and well done to you and your families. You are now in your last week of term and this last term has certainly not been what we would have hoped or expected it to be. You have worked at home, in these strange circumstances and I am really proud of you all. Despite not spending the full year with you, I have had a wonderful time teaching you and I hope you have a great time in Year 5/6! I will miss you all.

Please also know that I will still be accessing the email and class dojo over the holiday if you need/ want to get in touch.

Your English task for this week:

Free Writing! I know in school, you really enjoy the opportunity to free write. You can write poems, stories, letters, diary entries, information texts – whatever you like! Be inspired by the things you enjoy, the things around you, your lockdown experiences, photographs, books, pictures etc.

I would love to see some of your writing so if you type it you could email it over or take a photo of what you have done and email it that way – or upload to your class dojo portfolio.

Take your time over it, plan it, consider the language you are choosing, the way you start your sentences, include lots of description etc.

Maths:

Continue with the Oak Academy work you have been doing.

I have also included a couple of problems solving mysteries. The treasure hunt is the more challenging of the two.

Additional tasks

English/ Maths lessons at https://www.thenational.academy

Foundation subjects at https://www.thenational.academy

TT Rockstars (please get in touch if you need your log on details)

Play, have fun and be imaginative!

Missing you all. Stay safe and have a wonderful Summer holiday.
