Premier Sports Fitness Day – September 2017

Year 5 and 6 making the most of the visit by Premier Sports.

Netball and Football Tournament at St Joseph’s, Rugeley – September 2017

The children competed in a football and a netball tournament against several schools from the Cannock and rugeley area. Both teams worked incredibly hard and battled all the way until the end. Our footballers were resilient and held their heads high in defeat whilst our Netballer’s came second, bringing home some well deserved medals – well done to everyone involved!

Cannock Primary Schools cross country competition

Congratulations to Maddy who ran a mile in 4 minutes and 12 seconds at the Rugeley and Cannock Primary Schools cross country competition (March 2017).  She was awarded a certificate and a medal for being the fastest runner on the day.  A fantastic achiement – well done Maddy.

Netball Regional Finals at Fenton Manor Sports Complex

February 2017

From winning the Cannock and Rugeley tournament, we had won the right to represent the local area in a regional competition.  This included ourselves and also 9 other schools from across Staffordshire.

With some extremely tough competition, we won 2 matches, drew one match and lost the other. Unfortunately, we missed out on a place in the semi-finals by goal difference.

A cruel blow, but overall a wonderful achievement for the school.

Netball Tournament – January 2017

The children from Y5/6 completed another fantastic sporting achievement recently. This time, they were playing in a Netball competition, competing against 12 other schools from the Cannock and Rugeley area. Winning every game along the way, we got to the final match, playing St. Luke’s Primary School from Cannock. After a tense match, Henry Chadwick finally ran out as 2-1 winners. We will now go to Stoke-on-Trent to compete in the Regional Finals.
We are very proud of the children for another fantastic achievement.
