THE COMMENWEALTH GAMES HOMEWORK!

Following on from our PE homework a couple of weeks ago, this weeks challenge is to find out about the upcoming Commonwealth Games, happening in Birmingham between July and August this year.

Below are a series of tasks for you to try and complete over the course of next week!

Find 5 facts about the host city – Birmingham  How many nations will be taking part and from how many different continents?  Can you find 5 different sports events that will take place during the Commonwealth Games?  
Find 5 facts about one of the British Athletes who are competing  What is the Commonwealth? What does that word mean?Name an event that is not included in the Commonweatlh and explain why you think it should be part of the games?  
Find the names of 5 different venues in which the games will be held.  Which 3 nations make up the top 3 in the all time medals table?Design a mascot for Birmingham 2022
