Teaching assistant apprentice (Level 3)

Salary: Level 3 Apprentice, £8,800.96 per annum for the first year, after 12 months and for the remainder of the apprenticeship would move to age related pay.

Hours of work: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.30pm

Contract: Fixed Term Apprenticeship (usually 15 months), Term Time

39 working weeks, you will be required to work five additional days when students are not in school (INSET days, some of these will be flexi)

The school seeks to appoint a Level 3 Apprentice Teaching Assistant, who has already successfully completed a related Level 2 qualification.  Some experience of working in a school setting would be preferable.  The successful candidate will be employed to work in our Year 3/4 class, providing whole class and small group support as directed by the class teacher.   The apprenticeship will be supported by Best Practice Network (Primitas Learning Partnership) with time out of class to complete the required course work.

Vacancy for Lunchtime Supervisor

(Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

Grade 2

Actual salary £1,243.11 to £1,267.97 p.a.

(Full-Time Equivalent Salary £18,198 – £18,562)

Permanent Part-Time Contract, Term Time only based on 38.2 weeks per year (term time plus one INSET day)

The school seeks to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor.  Duties will include setting up the hall ready for lunchtime, supervising children during and after their lunchtime meal, assisting children with their table manners, supporting children whilst outside on the playground/in the classroom for wet play and clearing away the dining room ensuring that spillages are cleaned up promptly.  The successful candidate will support the school’s overall provision for children in school.

Hours: Part time (one and half hours per day – between 11.30am and 1pm, depending on the year group assigned to) – this post is to cover Tuesdays and Wednesdays = 3 hours.

The school seeks to appoint a qualified Forest School Practitioner, with an up-to-date first aid qualification, which includes paediatric and outdoor elements, to lead a range of Forest School activities at Henry Chadwick Primary School.  Duties will include planning and leading Forest School for children across all year groups, including nursery, setting up and clearing away, supervising children as part of Forest School sessions, preparing and maintaining Forest School general equipment and resources.  The successful candidate will support the school’s overall provision for children in school as part of a broad and balanced curriculum.

Hours: Part-time 9 hours (three afternoons, currently Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) three hours per day – 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
